Coronary Dilators manufactured by Surgical Star
Surgical Star is a Sialkot-based Coronary dilators manufacturer and supplier. Coronary dilators are fine tapered probes used to gently dilate a coronary artery before or during anastomosis. Forged from 316L austenitic stainless, chosen for maximum corrosion resistance through constant wet contact and repeated autoclaving rather than edge hardness — and available as an OEM / private-label line with low MOQs and a sample approved before bulk.

Coronary Dilators — Pattern and Clinical Use

During coronary bypass grafting the target vessel may need gentle calibration or dilation before the graft is anastomosed. The dilator is a very fine, highly polished tapered probe passed into the arteriotomy to size the lumen and dilate it slightly. Sets carry graduated diameters, typically from about 1 mm upward in small increments.

Surface finish is critical because the probe passes directly against coronary intima — the tissue whose damage causes graft failure. Every dilator is polished and inspected, and tips are rounded so the probe cannot dissect the vessel wall.

Material, Finish and Quality Control

We forge Coronary dilators from 316L austenitic stainless. Every surface is polished and tips rounded, then inspected, because the probe passes directly against coronary intima. Each batch passes Rockwell hardness testing, dimensional checks on surface polish and tip radius, and visual inspection under our ISO 13485 system before passivation and final finishing. Mirror and satin finishes are both available — satin is usually specified where glare under operating lights is a concern.

Who Sources Coronary Dilators From Surgical Star

Coronary dilators sell as graduated sets to cardiac surgical distributors and are standard in coronary bypass trays.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are coronary dilators used for?

Gently calibrating and dilating a coronary artery before the graft anastomosis is constructed.

Why is surface finish so critical?

The probe passes directly against coronary intima. Intimal damage is a cause of graft failure, so polish and tip radius are inspected on every unit.

What sizes are needed?

A graduated set in small increments from around 1 mm, since coronary target vessels vary considerably in calibre.

Can you manufacture these under our own brand?

Yes — full OEM and private label. We laser-mark your logo and catalog numbers, pack in your branded boxes, and work from your drawings, tech pack or a reference sample, with a pre-production sample approved before any bulk run.
