Dermal Curettes — Pattern and Clinical Use
Curettage removes lesions that sit within the epidermis and upper dermis — seborrhoeic keratoses, viral warts, molluscum and some basal cell carcinomas. The sharpened ring is drawn across the lesion, and because diseased tissue is softer than surrounding normal skin, the curette separates it at the natural plane while leaving healthy dermis behind. That tactile difference is what guides the operator.
Ring sharpness must be consistent around the full circumference, since the curette is drawn in different directions during a single lesion. Sizes typically run 2 mm to 7 mm, and both reusable and single-use versions are widely used.

Material, Finish and Quality Control

Each batch passes Rockwell hardness testing, dimensional checks on ring edge consistency, and visual inspection under our ISO 13485 system before passivation and final finishing. Mirror and satin finishes are both available — satin is usually specified where glare under operating lights is a concern.
