Staple Removers — Pattern and Clinical Use
A staple cannot simply be pulled out — its legs are bent under the skin. The remover slides its lower jaw beneath the staple bridge and squeezes, bending the staple back so both legs rotate up and out of the tissue simultaneously. Doing it properly is painless; doing it with the wrong instrument drags the legs sideways through the dermis.
Jaw geometry must match the staple profile so the bend happens at the right point on the bridge. A remover that grips too far forward or back deforms the staple without withdrawing the legs cleanly.

Material, Finish and Quality Control

Each batch passes Rockwell hardness testing, dimensional checks on jaw geometry to staple profile, and visual inspection under our ISO 13485 system before passivation and final finishing. Mirror and satin finishes are both available — satin is usually specified where glare under operating lights is a concern.
