A gallipot holds the lotion a dressing procedure needs, sitting on the trolley or within a dressing pack. Its straight sides and small footprint make it stable and easy to dip a swab into without spilling, and graduated versions let the user measure a volume directly — useful where a solution must be diluted or a fixed quantity delivered.
Because they hold antiseptic and sometimes reactive solutions for extended periods, corrosion resistance is the material requirement, which is why 316L is used rather than a hardenable grade. Stackable profiles matter for storage and autoclave loading.

Material, Finish and Quality Control
We forge Gallipots from 316L austenitic stainless. Corrosion resistance is verified for prolonged antiseptic contact and stacking profiles checked so pots separate cleanly after autoclaving. Each batch passes Rockwell hardness testing, dimensional checks on corrosion resistance and stack separation, and visual inspection under our ISO 13485 system before passivation and final finishing. Mirror and satin finishes are both available — satin is usually specified where glare under operating lights is a concern.
