Sterilization Containers — Pattern and Clinical Use
A container replaces wrapping. The instrument tray sits inside, the lid seals with a gasket, and filters in the lid or base admit steam during the cycle then act as a microbial barrier afterwards. The set stays sterile in storage and transport until the container is opened in theatre, which is what makes containers more reliable than wrap that can be punctured unnoticed.
The gasket and filter retention system are the functional parts: a gasket that has hardened or a filter not seated correctly breaks the sterile barrier without any visible sign. Both are service items with defined replacement intervals.

Material, Finish and Quality Control
We forge Sterilization containers from 316L austenitic stainless. Gasket seal and filter seating are both tested, since either failing breaks the sterile barrier with no visible indication. Each batch passes Rockwell hardness testing, dimensional checks on gasket seal and filter seating, and visual inspection under our ISO 13485 system before passivation and final finishing. Mirror and satin finishes are both available — satin is usually specified where glare under operating lights is a concern.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a container keep instruments sterile?
Filters admit steam during the cycle then act as a microbial barrier afterwards, while the gasket seals the lid. The set stays sterile until the container is opened.
Why are containers preferred over wrap?
Wrap can be punctured without anyone noticing. A rigid container protects the set mechanically and shows tampering more clearly.
Are gaskets and filters consumable?
Yes, both have defined replacement intervals. A hardened gasket or misseated filter breaks the sterile barrier invisibly.
Can you manufacture these under our own brand?
Yes — full OEM and private label. We laser-mark your logo and catalog numbers, pack in your branded boxes, and work from your drawings, tech pack or a reference sample, with a pre-production sample approved before any bulk run.
