Adson-Brown Forceps manufactured by Surgical Star
Surgical Star is a Sialkot-based Adson-Brown forceps manufacturer and supplier. Adson-Brown forceps are fine tissue forceps with multiple rows of small interdigitating teeth that hold delicate tissue over a wide contact area. Forged from AISI 420 martensitic stainless, hardened and tempered so the working edge survives repeated reprocessing, then passivated for corrosion resistance — and available as an OEM / private-label line with low MOQs and a sample approved before bulk.

Adson-Brown Forceps — Pattern and Clinical Use

Standard toothed forceps grip at one or two points, which crushes delicate skin. The Adson-Brown spreads that grip across rows of many small teeth — typically 7×7 or 9×9 — so the tissue is held securely with far less pressure at any single point. That makes it the standard forceps for handling skin edges in plastic and aesthetic surgery, where a crush mark is a visible scar.

Every tooth in the rows must mesh, which is a harder manufacturing problem than a single 1×2 tooth. A row where only some teeth engage concentrates load exactly as a conventional forceps would, defeating the design.

Material, Finish and Quality Control

We forge Adson-Brown forceps from AISI 420 martensitic stainless. Every tooth row is inspected under magnification for full mesh, since partial engagement concentrates load and defeats the atraumatic design. Each batch passes Rockwell hardness testing, dimensional checks on full tooth-row mesh, and visual inspection under our ISO 13485 system before passivation and final finishing. Mirror and satin finishes are both available — satin is usually specified where glare under operating lights is a concern.

OEM, Certification and Ordering

Every Adson-Brown forceps can be produced as a private-label line: your logo laser-marked on the shank, your catalog numbers, and your own printed packaging, manufactured from your drawings or a reference sample. Manufactured under an ISO 13485 quality system, CE-marked to EU MDR 2017/745 and covered by US FDA establishment registration. A certificate of conformity and an ASTM F899 material certificate for the exact steel grade ship with your order.

MOQs are low and new-brand friendly, and vary with pattern, finish and branding. Pricing is direct from the factory and tiered by volume. After you approve a branded pre-production sample, bulk production typically runs four to six weeks and ships worldwide DDP with HS codes handled. See how OEM & private label works →

Frequently Asked Questions

How is an Adson-Brown different from a standard Adson?

A standard Adson has a 1×2 tooth tip gripping at one point. The Adson-Brown has rows of many small teeth spreading the grip, which is far gentler on delicate skin.

What tooth configuration should we stock?

7×7 is the standard; 9×9 spreads the grip further for the most delicate work. Both are common in aesthetic sets.

Why does full mesh matter?

If only some teeth engage, load concentrates exactly as it would on a conventional forceps, which defeats the whole purpose of the pattern.

Can you manufacture these under our own brand?

Yes — full OEM and private label. We laser-mark your logo and catalog numbers, pack in your branded boxes, and work from your drawings, tech pack or a reference sample, with a pre-production sample approved before any bulk run.
