Ingrown Toenail Nippers — Pattern and Clinical Use
In an ingrown toenail, a spike of nail has grown into the surrounding tissue and must be cut and removed at the point where it penetrates — deep in the sulcus alongside an inflamed, painful nail fold. These nippers have deliberately narrow, fine-pointed jaws that fit into that space, which a standard nail nipper cannot enter without traumatising the tissue further.
The jaw points must be genuinely fine and must meet exactly at the tip, because the cut is made at the very end of the jaws in a confined space. A nipper meeting only mid-jaw cannot make the cut that matters.

Material, Finish and Quality Control
We forge Ingrown Toenail nippers from AISI 420 martensitic stainless. Jaw tips are inspected under magnification to confirm they meet exactly at the point, since the cut is made at the very tip in a confined space. Each batch passes Rockwell hardness testing, dimensional checks on tip meeting at the point, and visual inspection under our ISO 13485 system before passivation and final finishing. Mirror and satin finishes are both available — satin is usually specified where glare under operating lights is a concern.
Who Sources Ingrown Toenail Nippers From Surgical Star

Frequently Asked Questions
Why a separate nipper for ingrown nails?
The nail spike must be cut deep in the sulcus alongside inflamed tissue. Standard nipper jaws are too wide to enter without causing further trauma.
Why does tip meeting matter so much?
The cut is made at the very end of the jaws. A nipper that meets only mid-jaw cannot make the cut the procedure depends on.
Are angled patterns useful?
Yes, for approaching along the nail fold where a straight jaw cannot be angled into the sulcus.
Can you manufacture these under our own brand?
Yes — full OEM and private label. We laser-mark your logo and catalog numbers, pack in your branded boxes, and work from your drawings, tech pack or a reference sample, with a pre-production sample approved before any bulk run.
Send your pattern list, drawing or a reference sample and we’ll quote MOQ, pricing and lead time — standard catalog or fully private-label.
